Why use essential oils?

​

Essential oils are concentrated plant extracts. And essential oils don’t in fact cure anything but carry oxygen and piggy back nutrients to the cells so essential oil's support the body to heal itself. 

They can be distilled from various parts of a plant for example the leaves, petals, fruits, woods and seeds. Essential oils have been around for many years dating back to the bible with Frankincense and Myrrh. Even Cleopatra had an essential oil spa!

How to use oils

 

 Diffusing oils can completely change your life, getting a diffuser is a part of your Starter Kit too! This method is great for making your house smell amazing, helping the family relax,, getting rid of unwanted odors in the house and more.

 

Topically is a great way to apply the oils also. Because the oils are so potent you may need to dilute with coconut oil. Depending on the oil.

Flavoring - only for Young Living oils. Please do not ingest any other oils as they aren't to the highest therapeutic grade as world leading Young Living. Oils that can be used for flavoring have a sticker on the top of the lid to indicate you can use them in this way.

What do we use oils for?

 

You can use oils for nearly everything. Essential Oils do not cure anything, they are used to support your body and give your body what it needs to heal itself, whether it be physical or emotional support. Young Living have a MASSIVE range of oils that do this. Do Young Living Essential Oils expire?

​

Young Living’s essential oils do not expire and quality is maintained provided they are stored properly in a dark-glass bottle, upright and tightly sealed, out of sunlight, and in cool temperatures.

 

How does Young Living control pests?

​

Young Living use land that has never been exposed to harmful modern farming techniques. They prepare the soil for 5 years before they plant anything. All pest control is done using EO’s and these farms are hand weeded!

What tests are conducted on Young Living Essential oils?

​

Young Living uses its own internal labs and third-party facilities to verify that Young Living purity and potency standards are met. Each batch of essential oil is sent through six rigorous tests and must meet established quality benchmarks to pass through successfully.

• Mass Spectrometer—Identifies the names of each constituent (plant chemicals) in the oil.

• Gas Chromatograph—Measures the percentage of constituents in the oil.

• Refractive Index—Measures the density of the oil using a concentrated beam of light.

• Specific Gravity—Measures how heavy the oil is as compared to water.

• Flash Point—Ignites the oil and tests it against standard flash temperatures.

• Optical Rotation—Measures the molecular structure of the oil.

Young Living are the only company in the world to test oils with an IRMS Isotopic machine.

It is the final test an oil goes through. 

Two out of the 50 scientist that Young Living have on staff trained for 2 years to use this machine.

This machine will definitively tell you whether an oil is truly pure.  Nothing gets past this machine.  It is like filling this house 3 times over with rice grains and finding a single rice grain that shouldn’t be there.

 

This machine is needed for testing by all EO companies, yet Young Living is the only one who has it. 

If the incoming oils do not meet the established profile, they are rejected and not allowed to be bottled as a Young Living product. It is then not wasted but used as a pesticide on the farms.
